I am a DPhil candidate in Politics at the University of Oxford specializing in comparative politics. My research examines judicial politics and executive–legislative relations, with a geographical focus on Latin America. Methodologically, I combine causal inference, quantitative text analysis, and machine learning to study how courts and political institutions shape democratic accountability. I also supplement this research with qualitative case studies.
I hold an MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and an MA in Political Science from the University of Houston. I earned my undergraduate degree in Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador.
